We had a great weekend safari -- our first real safari in South Africa and with the kids.
The place we went had lots of little "hides" where we could get out of the car and look at animals around a watering hole.
Although the kids at times watched the DVD player while we were out on a 4 hour drive, at times they loved the show of animals out the window! (or out the sunroof)
Besides our babies, there were baby animals all over the place! We saw quite a mix of animals -- a great sampling of what the next few years will be filled with!
Hippos showing us their stuff
Here is a video of dung beetles doing what they do -- they store their eggs inside balls of dung and feed off the dung...

These are a very few highlights of the 1000 photos we took! A slightly larger selection of highlights can be seen at: http://www.snapfish.com/snapfish/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=6100265015/a=7818582_7818582/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/
